We always put fourth our best effort to source our ingredients from only the best marketplaces and growers, and we strive to ensure our ingredients are sustainably grown and certified organic.
When we decided to start producing the best Almondmilk, we knew we needed to set our foundation with only the finest organic almonds available. We sampled & tested many different types of almonds from dozens of farms across the world. Once we found the best of the best, we decided to source our delicious almonds from an incredible organic grower in Spain. Aside from the incredible taste, we chose this farm because of their dry-farming practices. This means the trees rely solely on rainfall with no other irrigation necessary. This allows us to support water-sustainable traditional agriculture. Since they are truly raw almonds, they are free of any PPO, chemical, or heat pasteurization, allowing us to pass on those amazing enzymes, nutrients and minerals into our Almondmilk.
Now that we have access to these rich and creamy almonds, we make each quart with nearly a half-pound of these beauties. Plus there's no need for us to add any flavors, thickeners, or stabilizers. Fresh, real Almondmilk that has the sweet and creamy tase of almonds. Pure and simple.
Our Sea Salt
While we only use a pinch of this remarkable mineral in each bottle, we strive to only use top grade ingredients in our offerings, down to the last drop. We source our Himalayan sea salt from a completely organic-compliant purveyor that harvests from ancient sea salt deposits that lie deep beneath the Himalayas. These deposits produce one of the highest quality mineral salts available. The varying shades of pink are lasting results of trace minerals such as iron, magnesium, potassium, and calcium.
Our Vanilla Beans
Only a mere ten percent of the world's vanilla beans are picked when perfectly mature. Our outstanding vanilla supplier, a family run operation in central California, harvests the fully vine-ripened vanilla beans and sun-cures them in-house to ensure a delicate and intense vanilla that shines through beautifully in our offerings. Our vanilla supplier works directly with independent farmers in developing countries to hand-select the highest quality beans using fair trade practices.
We chose pure maple syrup as our sweetener because it is a natural, unprocessed, authentic product of nature. Our search for the best tasting and sustainably made maple syrup led us across the country to the gorgeous state of Vermont. We source our certified organic, grade-A maple syrup from a marvelous family maple farm that has been producing 100% natural and organic maple syrup for over 50 years. Our pure maple syrup elevates the tase of our offerings, adding just the right amount of sweetness.
Our cacao makes for a rich and decadent Chocolate Almondmilk. After the cacao beans have been removed from their pods and fermented, our supplier then sun dries the beans before cold pressing them to remove most of the cacao butter. The remaining crumbles are then ground into our cacao powder. Unlike commonly used cocoa powder, our natural, raw and organic cacao powder does not get subjected to high processing temperatures or go through any synthetic alkalization process, retaining its nutrients and richness in polyphenols that provide numerous health benefits. Our cacao powder is certified organic and fair trade to maintain the best taste and quality.
We absolutley love matcha, so sourcing an organic, high-grade matcha was particularly important to us. Consumed for centuries in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony, ceremonial grade green tea powder is the highest grade matcha available, and thats exactly what we use here at Mylk Nut. After their stems are completely removed, the youngest green tea leaves are stone ground and make for a smooth and delicious Matcha Latte Almondmilk loaded with antioxidants that provides a great energy boost without the crash or jitters.
Used by the Inca and earlier Peruvian cultures for more than 1,500 years, maca root is a superfood packed with an array of vitamins and minerals. Our certified organic maca is sourced from a supplier who has been harvesting maca root directly from the Peruvian Andes for nearly three decades. Maca root is full of natural precursors, amino acids, minerals, and newly discovered Macamides and Macaenes that aren't found in any other plant. Aside from the health benefits, we love this ingredient for its malty flavor that pairs wonderfully with our Matcha Latte Almondmilk.
